Welcome to Barnsley Archery Club Website. We hope you find the information you are looking for - if not please contact us using the information within the 'contact us' section. |
Barnsley Archery Club is now 38 years old, and has been located at the Shaw Lane sports ground for the last 35 years. We have both indoor and outdoor facilities available to allow shooting all year round. The Club shooting times are: --- Wednesday evening 6.30pm til 9.30pm --- Friday evening 6.30pm til 9.30pm --- Saturday afternoon 12.30pm til 4.30pm Shooting outdoors is subject to available light. The club has more than 50 members, with both junior and senior sections. The club's membership covers a wide range of ages from 8 to 70, and has members from as far afield as Lincolnshire. All bow styles, ancient and modern, are represented, and members take part in the full range of archery disciplines with great success, at all levels including National. The club practises traditional target archery and clout archery. Members of the club are active and successful in competition. Additionally the club has an exceptionally strong coaching body: - One L4 coach - one of only five female senior coaches nationally and currently GNAS director for England - Two L3 coaches - Five L2 coaches (three gents and two ladies) - Four L1 coaches (one gent, one lady and two juniors) - Three tutors / assessors of CSLA in Archery - Coaches currently working with members of the national youth squad and senior England archers - Coaches working at national level on UKCC development Please Note: Barnsley Archery Club is a private club and is not included in the passport for leisure scheme. |
